Laura Algiero is a
Facilities Senior Supervisor at PepsiCo, Inc. She has worked in
the Facilities Department for PepsiCo for 32 years. She started
her career as an administrative assistant and was quickly transferred
into the Graphics Department within Facilities. Laura worked as
a typesetter and gained experience in graphic design, which led
to her managing the Reproduction Department. For the last 18 years
she has also managed the Mail Services Department, Loading Dock
and the Corporate Archiving Program. She was recently named the
Lead Records Manager for PepsiCo.
Also under Laura’s umbrella is managing PepsiCo’s Commuter
Program. Laura began managing the program 2 ½ years ago,
and since then rider volume has increased from approximately 75
riders to 275 riders. Transportation to/from New York City and to/from
the White Plains train station is provided to employees on a daily
basis, and an average of 220 riders take advantage of the program
each day.
Laura manages an annual budget of two million dollars and a team
of 13 employees who provide mail, reproduction and package delivery
services to a building population of 1,600 people. She is the present
leader of the department’s Organizational Health Team, which
strives to provide a safe, secure and happy work environment within
Facilities.
Laura is an avid golfer who consistently carries a 2 handicap.
She plays competitive amateur golf and has won numerous tournaments
throughout the metropolitan area. Laura served on the Board of the
Women’s Tri-County Golf Association from 2001-2007 and most
recently served as the organization’s President from 2009-2010.
She oversaw a Board of 10 and a membership of 120.
Laura grew up in Scarsdale, NY and lives in White Plains with her
husband Mike Cosgrove.
