Mark Langdon has been Facilities Customer Operations Manager at Cartus for the past 16 years, serving as a contractor under Pitney Bowes where he has been employed since 1988.
In 2003, Mark was named to lead the Cartus Conservation Committee, promoting Earth Day Events including recycling programs, Cartus Ride Share Days and other ridesharing projects, collaborating regularly with the MetroPool staff.
Under Mark’s watch, Cartus became one of the first companies in the state of Connecticut to jump on board and promote NuRide to its employees, a move which today leads him to boast: “Cartus takes ridesharing very seriously with over 500 NuRide members.â€Â The commitment was further showcased when Cartus received three awards in the 2008 and 2009 Earth Day Commuter Challenge Race to the Finish for encouraging a ‘greener’ commute.
“I have enjoyed working with Metro Pool for the past six years,†says Mark, “and am looking forward to an even better relationship in the future.â€Â He adds, “I also enjoy working on ways to reduce our carbon footprint, not only in business, but also in the home.† Notably, he has been part of the City of Danbury Adopt-A-Street Program for the last six years.
An avid horseman, Mark is past president of the New York State Morgan Horse Society, which he has been associated with for the past 25 years. He continues to enjoy riding and showing Morgan Horses in his hometown of Southbury, CT. He holds an Associates Degree from Alliance College in Cambridge Springs, PA. |
