Southbury, CT— Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that traffic is scheduled to be diverted from the I-84 Eastbound Exit 14 On-Ramp on Sunday night, July 13, 2003 beginning at Midnight. The ramp is scheduled to be reopened by 5:00 AM Monday morning, July 14. The work will be conducted, weather permitting. This closure is necessary to allow for milling and paving the approaches to the I-84 Eastbound bridge over Rte. 172.

During the diversion, traffic will be detoured via the following alternate route:
On-Ramp: Traffic will be detoured North on Rte. 172 to East on Main St. to South on Rte. 67 where traffic can enter I-84 Eastbound at the Exit 15 On-Ramp.

The $22 million project is expected to be completed in November 2003, and calls for bridge deck patching, pavement milling, paving and other safety improvements along I-84. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through construction zones and allow for extra travel time.
