Greenwich, CT - Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that the pedestrian overpass at the Greenwich Train Station is tentatively scheduled to be closed from August 9, 2004 - November 12, 2004 for complete removal and replacement, as progress continues on the Arch Street Construction project. The closure will commence following delivery of steel for construction, currently scheduled for August 9th.

Signs posted at the station will direct Metro-North customers to the stairways, located at both platforms, to access the eastbound and westbound platforms.

The new pedestrian bridge will be accessed by both stairs and elevator, enabling physically challenged travelers to move more conveniently between the eastbound and westbound platforms.

The Arch Street, Greenwich Railroad Bridge and Catenary (Overhead Wire) Improvements project is scheduled to be completed in January 2005.
