Bridgeport, Connecticut - Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that, weather permitting, the right and center lanes will be closed on
I-95, southbound, between Exits 27 & 26, and there will be brief interruptions in the left lane, between these same exits, on Monday night, June 2, 2003.

The work will commence at 7:00 PM when the right lane on I-95 southbound, between Exits 27 & 26, is scheduled to be closed until 6:00 AM. This will be followed by the closure of the center lane at 11:00 PM, until 6:00 AM. After midnight, three brief interruptions are scheduled in the left lane for a duration of approximately ten minutes each (the left lane will be closed during these times). Traffic will be permitted to clear between each brief interruption. All lanes are scheduled to re-open by no later than 6:00 AM the following morning.

During the brief interruptions, the entrance ramp from Myrtle Avenue to I-95 southbound and the exit ramp Route 8/25 southbound to I-95 southbound will also be closed.

These lane closures and brief interruptions are necessary to allow for the installation of overhead signs and supports. In the event of inclement weather, this work will take place on Tuesday night, June 3, 2003.

Motorists are advised to allow for extra travel time and to use caution when traveling through this and all other construction zones.
