Stratford/Milford,
CT- Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced
that traffic is scheduled to be diverted from the northbound Milford
Parkway to Route 15 southbound, weather permitting, Tuesday night
February 18 and Wednesday night, February 19, 2003, from 11:00 PM
to 5:00 AM each day, as progress continues on the Sikorsky Bridge
Replacement Project.
The diversion is necessary to allow for work on the Route 15 Bridge
over the Milford Parkway which is in association with the Sikorsky
Bridge Replacement Project.
A detour
has been established to guide commuters from the Milford Parkway
to Route 15 southbound. Motorists heading from the Milford Parkway
to Route 15 south, will be diverted onto the ramp to northbound
Route 15, then exit at Wheelers Farms Road (Exit 55), and then follow
posted detour signs to Route 15 southbound.
The
entire Sikorsky Replacement project is expected to be completed
in 2004.
