Milling & Ramp Closures On I-95 At Exit 24

Bridgeport , Connecticut – Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that motorists are to be advised that milling of the asphalt pavement along I-95 northbound and southbound, at Exit 24 , is scheduled to begin on or about Wednesday , August 31, 2005 , weather permitting.
In addition, the following ramp closures will be in effect at night, to complete milling of the asphalt pavement:
- Exit 24 off-ramp from I-95 southbound will be closed Wednesday night, August 31 from 11:00pm to 5:00am . Traffic will be detoured south to the Exit 23 off-ramp. In case of inclement weather, the work will take place the next night, Thursday, September 1.
- Exit 24 on-ramp to I-95 northbound will be closed Thursday night, September 1, from 11:00pm to 5:00am . Traffic will be detoured south along Route 1 to the Exit 23 on-ramp. Due to the Labor Day holiday, the rain date for work will be Tuesday night, September 6.
Motorists are urged to proceed with caution and obey the posted 45-mph speed limit, established in 1997, for the Bridgeport Corridor construction zone, which spans from Exit 24 to Exit 30 northbound and southbound on I-95.
