New Milford, CT— Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that, weather permitting, SBC will be installing/relocating their utilities on Route 7 in New Milford on or about Monday, September 20, 2004. The roadway in the area of Sunny Valley Road (north) will be restricted to one lane of alternating traffic between the hours of 9:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. The work is expected to take approximately three weeks to complete.

Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through the construction work zones and allow for extra travel time.

The work is part of the overall project that starts just north of the intersection of Route 7 at Routes 202/67 (Bridge Street) and ends south of Old State Road #2, approximately 2.5 miles. The overall completion of the project is expected by summer 2005.
