Ramp Closures Scheduled on Route 15 in Milford and Stratford Scheduled for Tuesday, January 4, 2005

Stratford/Milford Connecticut - Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that an entrance ramp to Route 15 southbound from Route 110 northbound (Ramp B) and the northbound exit ramp at exit 55A, Wheelers Farm Road will be closed for a portion of the day Tuesday, January 4, 2005.

The closures are necessary to allow for work on the Sikorsky Bridge Replacement Project and will take place, weather permitting.

The entrance ramp to Route 15 southbound from Route 110 northbound (Ramp B) will be closed from 9:00AM to 12:00 NOON for the safe placement of concrete on the Route 15 bridge over Route 110. Northbound motorists on Route 110 will be directed to stay to the left side of the roadway and use the southbound Route 110 entrance ramp to Route 15 southbound. Signs and traffic men will be utilized to safely move traffic at this location.

The Route 15 northbound exit ramp at Exit No. 55A, Wheelers Farms Road, will be closed for a two hour period between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM for the safe placement of an underground concrete vault at this location. Exiting traffic will be detoured to the next exit, Exit 55, Wolf Harbor Road. Signs and traffic men will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour.

The entire Sikorsky Bridge Replacement Project is expected to be completed in 2005.
