Metropool, Inc.

New Milford, CT— Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that, weather permitting, a portion of Route 7 in New Milford will be temporarily realigned, beginning on Thursday, March 13, 2003. The section of road will be just south of Dodd Road for ¾ mile ending just north of Old State Road #2. Traffic will be laterally shifted to the west onto temporary pavement which will allow permanent northbound Route 7 reconstruction and new Sanitary Sewer installation. Two eleven foot wide lanes will be maintained as will all residential and commercial driveways.

The work is part of the overall project that starts just north of the intersection of Route 7 at Routes 202/67 (Bridge Street) and going south to Old State Road #2, approximately 3.5 miles.

Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through construction zones and allow for extra travel time.
