Season To Begin On
The I-84 Southbury Project On March 31, 2003

Department of Transportation officials have announced that, weather
permitting, work for the 2003 Construction Season on the I-84 Southbury
Project will begin on Monday, March 31, on both a day shift schedule
(7:00 AM to 3:30 PM) and a night shift schedule (8:00 PM to 6:00
AM). Lane closures will be limited to the night shift, with shoulder
closures permitted during the day.
The $22 million
project is expected to be completed in November 2003, and calls
for bridge deck patching, pavement milling, paving and other safety
improvements along I-84. Motorists are urged to use caution when
traveling through construction zones and allow for extra travel
time.
