Bridgeport, Connecticut - Connecticut Department of Transportation
officials have announced that motorists should anticipate a traffic
switch to a new alignment along I-95 northbound and southbound between
Exits 24 & 25, beginning on Tuesday night, June 17, 2003, as
progress continues on the I-95 Bridgeport Reconstruction Program.
On Tuesday
night, southbound traffic on I-95 will be moved onto newly constructed
pavement between Exits 25 and 24. The following night, Wednesday,
June 18, northbound traffic in the same area will be shifted onto
the old southbound travel lanes.
These
traffic shifts signal the completion of the reconstruction of the
southbound outside portion of the I-95 reconstruction between Exits
25 and 24, and are necessary so that work may begin on the outside
portion of the northbound travel lanes in this same area.
Motorists
are advised to proceed safely and use caution when traveling through
this and all other construction zones.
