Stamford Parking Garage Project

The Stamford Transportation Center Parking Garage will be fully open
on or about Monday, March 1st, 2004, when the existing garage, that
has been under renovation for the past five months, reopens.
Effective with the reopening of the existing garage, the northwest entrance
and exit located at Station Place will again be operational for
both daily and monthly parkers. A new entry for monthly pass holders
will be opened on Station Place. The recently opened exit from the
garage onto Station Place and the entrance/exit located off Atlantic
Street will remain in service.
The existing garage elevators and the pedestrian bridge to the Station
concourse will also reopen and new handicapped parking spaces are
available on all levels of the garage.
With the reopening of the existing garage, there will now be approximately
2000 parking spaces available.
This project was funded by the State of Connecticut, the Federal Transit
Administration and the Federal Highway Administration.
