Traffic Diversion On Milford Parkway Scheduled To Begin Monday,
Feb. 24th to Thursday, Feb. 27

Stratford/Milford, CT- Connecticut Department of Transportation officials
have announced that traffic is scheduled to be diverted from the northbound
Milford Parkway to Route 15 southbound, weather permitting, Monday
night February 24 through Thursday night, February 27, 2003, from
11:00 PM to 5:00 AM each day, as progress continues on the Sikorsky
Bridge Replacement Project.
The
diversion is necessary to allow for work on the Route 15 Bridge
over the Milford Parkway which is in association with the Sikorsky
Bridge Replacement Project.
A detour
has been established to guide commuters from the Milford Parkway
to Route 15 southbound. Motorists heading from the Milford Parkway
to Route 15 south, will be diverted onto the ramp to northbound
Route 15, then exit at Wheelers Farms Road (Exit 55), and then follow
posted detour signs to Route 15 southbound.
The
entire Sikorsky Replacement project is expected to be completed
in 2004.
