North On-Ramp At Canal Street Scheduled To Reopen On Or About November

officials are pleased to announce that the
I-95 North On-Ramp at Canal Street is scheduled to be reopened on
or about 6:00AM on Monday, November 8, 2004, weather permitting.
The work required to reopen the ramp was accomplished much more
quickly than originally planned, due to the cooperation of the city
of Stamford, the motorists traveling in, around and through downtown
Stamford, as well as the good weather.
This project, involving the reconstruction of the median, resurfacing
of I-95 and bridge rehabilitation through Stamford, is estimated
to be completed by July 2005.
