Stratford/Milford Connecticut - Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that two traffic switches for southbound traffic on Route 15 at the Sikorsky Bridge are tentatively scheduled to take place overnight on Monday and Tuesday, August 2nd and 3rd, 2004

The traffic switches will require intermittent traffic stoppages in both directions and lane closures to allow for setting median barrier and line striping. Northbound lane closures will also be scheduled to accommodate the work.

Beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 2nd, southbound traffic will be realigned on the west side of the new Sikorsky Bridge. This work is expected to be completed by Tuesday morning, August 3rd, at 6:00 a.m.

Beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3rd, southbound traffic will be realigned on the east side of the new Sikorsky Bridge. This work is expected to be completed by Wednesday morning, August 4th, at 6:00 a.m.

If weather or other factors delay the traffic switches, the work will be performed overnight later in the week.

The entire Sikorsky Bridge Replacement Project is expected to be completed in 2005.
