Greenwich:
Route 15 northbound and southbound, Exit 29, left lane
closed:
- northbound, 9:00am to 3:00pm

Norwalk/Stamford:
Route 15 southbound, Exits 40 to 35, left lane closed,
9:30am to 3:00pm, fence repair.
Fairfield/Trumbull:
Route 15 northbound
and southbound, Exits 44 to 48, alternating lanes closed, 9:30am to 3:00pm,
sweeping.
Hamden/North
Haven: Route 15 northbound, Exits 61
to 63, left lane closed, 9:30am to 3:00pm, maintenance along Jersey barrier.
Danbury:
Route 37 southbound, Pembroke Rd., between Stacey Rd. and Padanaram
Rd, various lanes closed, 9:00am to 4:00pm, permit job (water main installation).
ONGOING
PROJECTS & SITUATIONAL NOTES
- CONNECTICUT -
New
Canaan: Route 106 (from Route 15 southbound exit to Route
124), milling and resurfacing project is scheduled from August
18th through August 25th. Work
schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30am to 4:00pm. Work will take place,
weather permitting.
Greenwich:
Pedestrian overpass at the Greenwich Railroad Station
is closed through November 12th, for complete
removal and replacement. Signs posted at the station direct Metro-North customers
to the stairways, located at both platforms, to access the eastbound and westbound
platforms. The new pedestrian bridge will be accessed by both stairs and elevators.
Westport:
Resurfacing project is scheduled from September 8th
through September 15th on the following roads
in Westport:
- Route 33 (between Route 136 and just south of Rices Lane)
- Route 57 (between Route 33 and the Saugatuck River overpass)
- Route 136 (between Route 33 and Riverside Ave.)
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00pm to 5:00am. All work will
take place, weather permitting.
Newtown/Waterbury: I-84 eastbound and westbound, Exits 9 to 21, a bridge
maintenance project is scheduled through August 27th.
Work will take place Monday through Thursday nights, from 9:00pm to 5:00am each
night, weather permitting. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will
be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Waterbury:
I-84 eastbound and westbound, Exits 18 to 23,
a bridge maintenance project began Wednesday night, June 23rd,
and will continue each succeeding Wednesday night through August 25th.
Work will take place from 9:00pm to 5:00am each Wednesday night, weather permitting.
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists
through the work zone.
Bridgeport:
Local road closures, in association with the I-95 Bridgeport
Corridor Reconstruction Project, August 23rd through August
27th:
- Pembroke Street, between Nichols & Ann Sts., closed from 7:00am to 3:00pm,
for bridge reconstruction. Detours as follows:
a) Traveling north on Pembroke - take a right onto Ann St., continue to Waterview
St. At Waterview turn left, continue to first left. Turn left onto Nichols St.
and proceed to intersection with Pembroke.
b) Traveling south on Pembroke - take a left onto Nichols St. and continue to
Waterview St. At Waterview take a right and continue to first right. Turn right
onto Ann and proceed to intersection with Pembroke.
Bridgeport: I-95 Bridgeport Corridor Reconstruction
Project closures:
- Northbound Exit 25 on-ramp
- Southbound Exit 26 on-ramp
- Howard Avenue, between Cherry and Pine Streets
**The 45-mph posted speed limit through the Bridgeport construction area, from
Exits 24 to 30, will be strictly enforced.
West
Haven: Voss Road, between Saw Mill Road and Railroad Avenue, is temporarily
closed to thru traffic (as of the end of July 2004). Local access to Voss Road
is permitted via Railroad Avenue. Detour signs are posted directing motorists
back to Saw Mill Road. The closure is expected to be in effect for approximately
4 months and is necessary to facilitate the reconstruction of Exit 42 (Route
162) on I-95.
Greenwich:
Route 15 northbound and southbound, between Exits 29 to 31,
will have daily lane closures now through the end of the construction season.
One northbound lane will be closed from 9:00am to 3:00pm; southbound closure
will be from 10:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Darien:
I-95 northbound and southbound, Exits 10 to 13, alternating
lane closures are scheduled to take place Mondays through Thursdays, at night,
beginning July 12th and will continue for a few months, for paving.
Watertown:
Route 8 northbound, between Exit 37 off-ramp and on-ramp, is restricted
to one lane for bridge rehabilitation. Work will take place, weather permitting,
and is expected to be completed September 2004. Special note:
oversize and overweight vehicles will be required to detour off Rt. 8 NB at
Exit 37, Rt. 262. Follow Frost Bridge Rd. to access Rt. 8 NB entrance ramp.
Stamford:
The existing Stamford Transportation Center Parking Garage
reopened on March 1st. Parking spaces are available. For information about obtaining

Branford/Guilford/Clinton:

the end of May, 2004. No service interruptions are anticipated at any of the
