Tuesday, March 22, 2005 (Night)

Bridgeport: I-95 southbound, Exits 26 to 24, left and center lane closed, 9:00pm to 6:00am.

Milford: I-95 southbound, Exits 34 to 33, various lanes closed, 9:00pm to 5:00am, bridge maintenance project (continues through March 23 - details below).

Trumbull: Route 15 northbound and southbound, Exits 48 to 49, various lanes closed, 8:00pm to 5:00am, bridge maintenance project (continues through March 29 - details below).


Wednesday, March 23, 2005 (Day)

Westport: Route 15 northbound and southbound, Exits 40 to 41, alternating lanes closed, bridge inspections:
- northbound, 9:00am to 2:00pm
- southbound, 10:00am to 3:00pm

Stamford/Norwalk: Route 15 northbound, Exits 33 to 40, left lane closed, 9:30am to 2:30pm, fence repairs.

Trumbull: Route 15 northbound and southbound, Exits 46 to 53, right lane closed, 9:30am to 3:00pm, brush removal.

North Haven: I-91 southbound, Exits 10 to 11, right and left lanes closed, 9:00am to 3:00pm, bridge inspections.

Westport: I-95 northbound and southbound, Exits 17 to 18, right lane closed, bridge inspections:
- northbound, 9:00am to 12:00pm
- southbound, 11:00am to 2:00pm

Milford: Daniel Wasson Connector northbound and southbound, between I-95 and Route 15, alternating lanes closed, 9:00am to 3:00pm, bridge inspections.

Bridgeport: I-95 southbound, Exits 28 to 27, shoulder closed, 9:00am to 3:00pm, construction access.

Bridgeport/Milford: I-95 northbound and southbound, Exits 19 to 40, various lanes closed, 9:30am to 3:00pm, patching.

Watertown: Route 63 northbound, between Oak St & Route 73, various lanes closed, 9:00am to 4:00pm, test borings.

Waterbury: Route 8 southbound, Exits 36 to 35, alternating lanes closed, 9:00am to 3:00pm, test borings.

Ansonia: Route 727 southbound, Pershing Dr. 180 ft. south of Cresent St., various lanes closed, 8:30am to 4:00pm, permit job (drainage installation).


ONGOING PROJECTS & SITUATIONAL NOTES

- CONNECTICUT -

Milford: I-95 southbound, Exits 34 to 33, a bridge maintenance project is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, March 15 through Wednesday, March 23, 2005, weather permitting. Various southbound lanes will be closed, Sunday through Thursday, from 9:00pm to 5:00am each night, throughout the duration of the project.

Trumbull: Route 15 northbound and southbound, Exits 48 to 49, a bridge maintenance project is scheduled to continue now through Tuesday, March 29, from 8:00pm to 5:00am each night, weather permitting. Work will take place Monday through Friday nights, with the exception of Friday, March 25, due to the holiday weekend. Various lanes will be closed throughout the project duration.

Norwalk: Section of Monroe Street, from the intersection of Monroe and Chestnut Sts. to Martin Luther King Drive, is scheduled to become a One-Way street, on or about March 9 through July 31, 2005. Detour signs and alternate route signs have been posted. The roadway will be lowered under the bridge and new utilities will be installed under the roadway. The work is part of an ongoing project to replace bridges and catenary on the New Haven Line between Norwalk and Stamford.

West Haven: Meloy Road, between Saw Mill Rd. and Claudia Dr. near Exit 42/Route 162 off I-95, is temporarily closed to thru traffic. The closure is expected to be in effect through the end of May and is necessary to facilitate utility relocation work for the reconstruction of Meloy Rd., which is part of the reconstruction of Exit 42 (Route 162) on I-95. Local access to Meloy Rd. is permitted. Truck traffic from I-95 should use Saw Mill Rd. to Route 1 in Orange. Detour signs are posted.

Bridgeport: Local Road closures, in association with I-95 Bridgeport Corridor Reconstruction Project, from 7:00am to 4:00pm -
March 21 - 23: Pembroke St., between Ann & Nichols Sts.
March 21 - 25: partial closures on North Frontage Rd., from Broad to Lafayette Sts., and on Main St., between North & South Frontage Rds.

The 45-mph posted speed limit on I-95 northbound and southbound from Exits 24 to 30 will continue to be strictly enforced, as work continues on the I-95 Bridgeport Corridor Reconstruction Project.
