Friday, January 20, 2006 (Night)

New Haven: I-95 northbound and southbound, Exits 49 to 51, various lanes closed:
- northbound, left and center lanes closed, 9:00pm to 6:00am
- southbound, left lane closed, 11:00pm to 6:00am


Sunday, January 22, 2006 (Day))

Milford/Fairfield: I-95 northbound and southbound, Exits 40 to 20, various lanes closed, 6:00am to 12:00pm.


Monday, January 23, 2006 (Day)

Darien/Greenwich: I-95 northbound and southbound, Exit 13 to NY Line, right lane closed, 9:30am to 2:30pm.

Norwalk/Greenwich: Route 15 northbound and southbound, Exits 27 to 40, various lanes closed, 9:30am to 2:30pm.

New Canaan: Route 15 northbound and southbound, Exits 36 to 38, alternating lanes closed, bridge inspections:
- northbound, 9:00am to 12:00pm
- southbound, 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Westport/Norwalk: Route 15 northbound and southbound, Exits 40 to 42, right lane closed, 9:30am to 2:30pm.

Trumbull: Route 15 northbound and southbound, Exits 46 to 53, right lane closed, 9:30am to 2:30pm.

Orange/Hamden: Route 15 northbound and southbound, Exits 58 to 60, right lane closed, 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Hamden/New Haven: Route 15 southbound, Exits 60 to 59, right lane closed, 9:00am to 3:00pm.

Bridgeport: Stratford Avenue Bridge, working under bridge (no lane closures), bridge inspection (inspection continues daily through Thursday).


ONGOING PROJECTS & SITUATIONAL NOTES

- CONNECTICUT -

New Haven: Removal of Woodward Ave. Bridge is scheduled to take place January 24 & 25, between 12:01am to 5:00am each day, weather permitting. Traffic on I-95 northbound and southbound between Exits 50 and 51 will be halted for 5-10 minute intervals several times each night, to protect drivers, passengers and pedestrians during the bridge removal. This work is part of Contract C2 of the I-95 New Haven Corridor Crossing Improvement Program. For more information, visit the project web site www.I95newhaven.com.

New Milford: Reconstruction of Route 7 has resumed for the construction season. Daytime and nighttime operations can be expected from Pickett District Rd. to just north of Bridge St. There may be one lane of alternating traffic at various locations along the roadway from 9:00pm to 6:00am Monday through Friday and between 8:00pm to 10:00am Saturday and Sunday. The overall completion of the project is expected by Summer 2006.

Bridgeport: I-95 northbound and southbound from Exits 24 to 29; please obey the posted speed limit, 45 miles per hour, as you travel through the I-95 Bridgeport Corridor Reconstruction Project work zone, to ensure your safety and the safety of those working in this area. Local road work, January 16 to 20, from 7:00am to 4:00pm:
- Main Street, between South & North Frontage Rds., by the Harbor Yard Arena, installing final drainage.

Bethel/Redding/Wilton/Norwalk: Connecticut Light & Power's Bethel-Norwalk Transmission Line Project consists of approximately 30 miles of new and reconstructed 345-kV and 115-kV lines. The majority of the facilities will be sited within existing transmission corridors or public roadways and the construction of these facilities will require the temporary and permanent use of these various areas. NY/NJ/CT Metropolitan Region Launches Multi-Modal, Multi-Agency Traveler Assistance System: Travelers in NY, NJ and CT now have access to a traveler information system providing them with transportation and trip planning assistance. With funding from the U.S. DOT, Trips 123 was developed as a public-private partnership by the NYSDOT, TRANSCOM, and NEC Joint Venture. The Trips 123 system currently offers two free services to provide traffic and transit information to the public - Traveler Information Center and TransitAdvisor.
