"MOBILITY
MATTERS" PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW ON DISPLAY AT VASSAR BROTHERS' DYSON
CENTER FOR CANCER CARE
Poughkeepsie, NY- June 16, 2003 - Vassar Brothers Medical Center's
Dyson Center for Cancer Care will host a traveling photography Exhibit,
"Mobility Matters," June 17th through August 28, 2003.
The Photography of artist David Lubarsky will be shown on the first
floor Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5pm and is open to the
public free of charge.
"Mobility Matters" is a photo-documentary commissioned
by MetroPool, Inc., that examines the alternatives to driving alone
and the connections between those who commute by train, bus, ferry,
car-pooling, bicycling and walking. The black and white photos depict
the daily activity used to travel to and from the workplace.
MetroPool, Inc. specifically chose Photographer Lubarsky of Fairfield,
Connecticut because of "his discerning ability to capture the
human condition on film." His images have been published in
numerous corporate, consumer and trade publications. His first solo
exhibit was at Grand Central Terminal in 1992. His work is included
in the permanent collections of The Museum of Modern Art and The
California Museum of Photography.
This
showing of the "Mobility Matter" exhibit is sponsored
