TRAFFIC DIVERSION SCHEDULED FOR HAMILTON AVENUE ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY
28 AND SATURDAY, MARCH 1, 2003 AND FOR NORTH WATER STREET ON FRIDAY,
MARCH 7 AND SATURDAY, MARCH 8, 2003
Greenwich, Conn—As progress continues on the
Arch Street Construction Project, Connecticut Department of Transportation
officials have announced that traffic is scheduled to be diverted
from Hamilton Avenue, vicinity of Armstrong Court and Metro-North
Railroad, Friday and Saturday nights, February 28 and March 1, 2003.
The North Water Street closure is between New Street and South New
Street, Friday and Saturday nights, March 7 and March 8, 2003. On
all days the closures will take effect from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
These diversions are necessary to allow for the
setting of structural steel in association with the replacement
of the Hamilton Avenue and North Water Street Bridges.
The work will be conducted weather permitting and
is subject to change without notice.
Detours will be posted, and motorists are urged to use extra caution
when traveling through these and all other construction work zones.
