Closures and Rolling Stops Are Scheduled On I-95 Northbound In Bridgeport

Exits 26 & 27 On Thursday Night, May 1, 2003

Connecticut - Connecticut Department of Transportation officials
have announced that, weather permitting, two lanes will be closed
on I-95, northbound, between Exits 26 & 27, and there will be
three rolling stops in the left lane, between these same exits,
on Thursday night, May 1, 2003. This is necessary to allow for overhead
sign installation work. In the event of inclement weather, this
work will take place on Friday night, May 2, 2003.
The
work will commence at 9:00 PM when the right lane on I-95, northbound,
between Exits 26 & 27 is scheduled to be closed, until 6:00
AM. This will be followed by the closure of the center lane at 11:00
PM, until 6:00 AM. Between midnight and 4:00 AM three rolling stops
are scheduled, for a duration of ten minutes each, in the left lane.
The rolling stops will not be held back-to-back. All lanes are scheduled
to re-open by no later than 6:00 AM the following morning.
Motorists
are advised to allow for extra travel time and to use caution when
traveling through this and all other construction zones.
