closures are also scheduled on I-95 southbound during this time

Connecticut - Connecticut Department of Transportation officials
have announced that the Exit 27-A off-ramp from I-95 southbound,
to the 8/25 Connector northbound will be closed Monday through Thursday
nights, July 7 - 10, 2003, from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM each night,
as progress continues on the I-95 Bridgeport Reconstruction Program.
- During
the diversion, motorists will be detoured via the following alternate
route:
-
Exit 27 to Lafayette Street and then proceed straight to the intersection
of South Avenue and Warren Street

Right turn onto Warren Street, continuing to the end of Warren
Street.
- Proceed
straight onto the Route 8/25 connector northbound
The
work will be performed weather permitting. In the event that inclement
weather or other factors prevent the work from being performed as
scheduled, the work and associated traffic restrictions will be
rescheduled for subsequent evenings.
Construction
signs, variable message signs and Bridgeport Police will be in place
to assist motorists during nighttime hours. Motorists are urged
to proceed with caution and obey the posted speed limits when traveling
through this and all other construction zones.
