Of Single Ramp Closures In Connection With The I-95 Bridgeport Rehabilitation
Program Rescheduled Due To Inclement Weather Conditions.

Bridgeport, Connecticut- Connecticut Department of Transportation officials have announced that a series of single ramp closures scheduled to begin this week, have been postponed due to the inclement weather conditions. The work will now commence on Wednesday, December 11,2002.
The following ramps are scheduled to be closed on Wednesday night,
December 11, 2002, Thursday night, December 12, 2002 with Friday night,December
13,2002 to be used as a back-up date in the event the work is not
completed in the above mentioned timeframe. The work is scheduled
to take place between10:00 PM and 6:00 AM, and all ramps will be re-opened
no later than 6:00 AM the following morning.
Route 8/25 southbound to I-95 northbound
I-95 northbound to Route 8/25 northbound
Route 8/25 southbound to I-95 southbound
Please note that no more than one ramp maybe closed at any of the
aforementioned times.
These closures are necessary to allow for the removal of the concrete
barrier on the ramp from I-95 northbound to Route 8/25 northbound,
the completion of the pavement of ramps and associated line stripping
to the ramps’ final configurations.
During the closures, traffic should follow the alternate travel routes:
Route 8/25 southbound to I-95 northbound
Get off at Exit 1 on Route 8/25 southbound
Proceed straight to I-95 northbound through the entrance ramp at Lafayette
Street
I-95 northbound to Route 8/25 northbound
Get off at Exit 27on I-95 northbound
Proceed straight and turn left at Warren Street
Follow signs for Route 8/25 northbound
Use entrance ramp on Prospect Street to access Route 8/25 northbound
Route 8/25 southbound to I-95 southbound
Get off at Exit 1 on Route 8/25 southbound
Proceed straight on Myrtle Avenue
Right turn on entrance ramp “G” and proceed to I-95
southbound.
Motorists are asked to use extreme caution when traveling through
this and other construction work zones.
