Stamford
Parking Garage Project
This
project will provide commuters with approximately 1,200 additional
parking spaces at the Stamford Train Station.
Anticipated
project completion date is November 2003.
The new facility is being constructed adjacent to the existing parking
facility at the corner of Atlantic Street and Station Place.
The
cost to build this project is estimated to be about $24 million.
This
project is funded by the
State of Connecticut, the Federal Transit Administration and the
Federal Highway Administration.
The contract for this project was awarded to Manafort Brothers,
Inc of Plainville, CT, on June 19, 2001.
