Route 15 (Merritt Parkway) in Greenwich
Median & Safety Improvement Project
Estimated Completion Date: December 2004
(Note: landscaping will continue into the Spring of 2005)
General Project Information:
- Interchange improvements on Route 15 at North Street in Greenwich
includes upgraded new acceleration lanes from the on and off ramps
- roadway will be resurfaced
- enhanced drainage system
- removal of rock outcroppings
- upgrading of the guiderail system to conform to the Merritt Parkway
guidelines
- the existing landscape is being rehabilitated in accordance with
the "Merritt Parkway Landscape Master Plan" (i.e. removal
of invasive species of plants, restoration of disturbed areas with
plants indigenous to the area)
